  33. This version of Protracker is a betaversion exclusively for the Amiga Format
  34. magazine. Protracker 3.11 by Cryptoburners is the latest edition to the
  35. Protracker family and is entirely based upon Protracker 1.3/2.0 by
  36. Lars Hamre of The Amiga Freelancers.

  38. Main features of this beta version:

  41. * Dramatically improved user interface.
  42.     - Hires 640x200 screen display.
  43.     - Better input handling.
  44.     - Scrollbars added where required.
  45.     - Date/Time online.
  46.     - Overall volume controller on screen.
  47. * A new improved 7-note chord editor, recalculates loops.
  48. * Improved and faster sample editing. Unlimited zoom levels.
  49. * Full compatibility with all existing OS versions including OS3.0
  50. * Better multitasking capabilities.
  51. * New sample edit options, includes Invert, Maximize, NormalDC, Normalize.
  52. * Mouse controlled editing made possible.
  53. * Full Powerpacker support, read/write/encrypt possible.
  54. * Added real VU-meters.
  55. * New configurable options: 
  56.     - Screen positioning.
  57.     - Lace on/off for genlock users.
  58.     - Multicached disk directories.
  59. * Several interesting bugs (Batteries not included).

  65. tracker around :) New features include:

  67. * For the first time in Amiga history: Improved sound quality! Actual 12 bit 
  68.   sound dynamics using a new and revolutionary algorithm. No addititional
  69.   add-ons required, furthermore, no extra storage usage. Fully compatible with
  70.   traditional 8-bit Amiga sounds. 
  71. * A whole new range of DSP effects for your samples, including such effects as:
  72.     - Low, high, band and allpass filters (IIR filters).
  73.     - Comb filters.
  74.     - Shelving low and high filters.
  75.     - Multitap delay/feedback algorithms.
  76. * Reads and converts numerous 16 bit samples, including Maestro and AIFF.
  77. * Amigaguide documentation (A big sucker).
